Many years ago, long before cyber-space existed, we were a
Telex address (EPHEMEREX) reachable via Western Union Operator
25. Our founder, Professor Strome, is shown here at the
controls of Scanner No. 1, a Farnsworth Super-Orthicon Raster-Matic
with 28 vacuum tubes that took an hour to warm up. And waiting
outside was the company car, a Nash Airflyte coupe in Apple
Red. It also took an hour to warm up. Well. We'd love to
reminisce some more but the nurse has just come in with our
daily injection of rejuvenating serum. |
